What is EWOK?
Ethiopian Women Organization in Kenya (EWOK) is a non- governmental, non-profit making organization registered in 1994 under the Societies Act CAP 108 laws of Kenya and established by members of the Ethiopian women community residing in Kenya.
This organization does not have any religious or political biases.

What are the goals of EWOK?
To participate in the development and empowerment of Ethiopian refugee women and children in Kenya as well as disadvantaged Kenyan women and children with a focus on self-sustaining solutions.
To enhance the unity among the members of EWOK by encouraging togetherness, networking, learning, supporting, appreciating, and respecting each other.
To promote the Ethiopian culture in Kenya and beyond.
Can I join EWOK?
Qualifications for membership:
Membership of the organization shall be open to any Ethiopian woman over 18 years living or located in Kenya who is interested in helping the organization to achieve its objectives, participate in EWOK meetings, willing to abide by the rules of the organization and willing to pay the annual membership fee.Member participation:
Every individual member shall have one vote at General Meetings. The membership of any member may be terminated based on a valid reason by the Management Committee, however, the member has a right to be heard by the Management Committee before a final decision is made.
